Latethread ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use the Latethread mobile application and website.
1. Information We Collect
We collect the following categories of information:
- Account information: Name, email address, date of birth, gender, and profile details you provide during registration and onboarding.
- Profile content: Photos, bio, interests, location (city-level only), and relationship preferences you add to your profile.
- User-generated content: Posts, comments, messages you send to matches, and poll responses.
- Usage data: How you interact with the app — screens visited, features used, and time spent.
- Device information: Device type, operating system, and app version for troubleshooting purposes.
- Transaction data: Records of in-app purchases (flowers, hearts, premium) processed through Google Play or Apple App Store.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To create and manage your account.
- To show you relevant profiles and facilitate connections.
- To deliver messages, notifications, and activity updates within the app.
- To process purchases and maintain your wallet balance.
- To enforce our Community Guidelines and keep the platform safe.
- To improve our algorithms, features, and overall product experience.
- To comply with legal obligations.
3. Information Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We may share information in these limited circumstances:
- With other users: Your public profile (name, photos, bio, city, interests) is shown to other users on the platform.
- Service providers: We use Supabase for database and authentication, and Google Play / Apple App Store for payment processing. These providers are bound by data processing agreements.
- Legal requirements: We may disclose information when required by law or to protect the rights, safety, or property of Latethread or its users.
4. Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, your profile, posts, messages, and associated data are permanently deleted within 30 days. Some data may be retained longer if required by law or for legitimate business purposes such as fraud prevention.
5. Your Rights
- Access: You can view all your profile data within the app at any time.
- Correction: You can edit your profile information at any time through Settings → Edit Profile.
- Deletion: You can permanently delete your account and all associated data through Settings → Delete Account.
- Portability: Contact us to request a copy of your data.
6. Security
All data is transmitted over HTTPS/TLS. We use Supabase's row-level security policies to ensure users can only access data they are authorised to see. Passwords are never stored — we use secure, token-based authentication.
7. Children's Privacy
Latethread is intended for users aged 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If we discover that a user is under 18, their account will be immediately deleted.
8. Third-Party Services
The app integrates with Google Sign-In for authentication. When you use Google Sign-In, Google's Privacy Policy applies to that interaction. We receive only the basic profile information (name, email) that you authorise.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via the app. Continued use of Latethread after changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
